Bogota South American SaludCoop Sensei Marvin Harvey

Marvin Harvey traveled internationally to Bogotá, Colombia for training international teams in the SaludCup, FIBA Basketball Association. He trained teams and introduced his 3R’s to coaches from Europe, Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, Dominican Republic, and Cuba. He later received invitations to extend his basketball knowledge by training coaches in Monterrey, Mexico, where he met Vicente Fox, then President of Mexico. Continue reading

Athletic Director at Pine Castle Christian Academy

Robert “Basketball Bob” Corwin, President of “Team Florida” hired Marvin Harvey to tour the State of Florida, from Miami to Pensacola to teaching girls how to transition their elementary shooting form to a professional shooting technique (3’Rs) correctly. From that tour Harvey became the Athletic Director for Pine Castle Christian Academy (9) in Orlando, FL. Harvey was there for six years and during that time, not only did all athletic programs go from good-to-great; the Academy was nominated three times for the Fred E. Rozelle Sportsmanship Award. Shot Lab Trademark – Marvin Harvey

Marvin Harvey is also known for his product creativity. He is the creator of the term “Shot Lab” and designed the first Shot Lab in Tampa, Florida, in 2007(15). The Shot Lab was designed strategically for his private training sessions. The dimensions were well thought out to create an intimacy part of teaching and learning type training sessions. The Shot Lab was designed as a one-stop-shop for professional players who needed the privacy and the ability to get everything from basketball shooting training, fitness training, plus a large video analysis, all in a 60’x72’ framework. Former President of Mexico Vicente Fox and Marvin Harvey

Marvin Harvey has almost trained the entire country of Mexico. Harvey is known for the hypothesis he did at Ottawa on the “art” of shooting. He created his own philosophy on shooting a basketball. It started as a single class assignment that had to be a scientific analysis (3) a searchable topic, founded principles, and proof that the topic was completely unbiased findings, and teachable … he named it the 3R’s – Ready-Rhythm-Release. Immediately after graduating from Ottawa, he quietly started transforming players using, what has become, the most recognized shooting form in the world today. His biography on the Ottawa University (4) website describes his as a person driven to be a “great teacher” and he has used that teaching in the sport of basketball; internationally.
